Age of Conan is a fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) was developed by Funcom for PC and the Xbox 360. The full release of the game for North America was May 20, 2008. Age Of Conan: Hyborian Adventures has attracted over 400,000 gamers online which is great considering that over half of those gamers are from North America.

Age of Conan is a world controlled by cruel gods, horrid mythical creatures and a struggling barbarian human race that has finally seized the throne as king of Aquilonia. But Conan's rule is on the brink of utter chaos, with ancient evils threatening almost certain demise. In this twisted fantasy world, dark magic and combat awaits the gamer, and each man and woman must make their own destiny.

Hyborian Adventures is the first release in the planned Age of Conan series that will mostly likely have expansion packs. There is even talk of this in the official forums.

The Age of Conan series is set in the Hyborian Age, which was is set in 1932. Age of Conan itself takes place within the continent of the Hyborian kingdoms, a year after the events depicted in Howard's sole Conan novel, The Hour of the Dragon. The release of Hyborian Adventures' will mark the 76th anniversary for the Conan franchise.
